# The WISER Method

> The WISER Method is an open-source operational AI methodology for teams and organizations, built by practitioners who deployed AI for over half the Fortune 100. It provides a five-canon framework, 26 plays, 35 practitioner templates, and a 5-stage AI Operations Maturity Model. The complete methodology is published free under CC BY-SA 4.0. Co-created by Robb Wilson (founder of OneReach.ai, WSJ bestselling author of Age of Invisible Machines) and Anthony Franco (five-time technology entrepreneur, Chief AI Officer of First Strategy, co-founder of the AI First Principles initiative). The intellectual property and trademark were donated by First Strategy LLC to EffectiveSC, a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 27-0901658), which now holds them.

The WISER Method is an open-source AI operations methodology created by Robb Wilson and Anthony Franco, held by EffectiveSC (https://effectivesc.org), a Colorado 501(c)(3) public charity that builds open technology and helps organizations put AI to work on public problems. EffectiveSC also holds AI First Principles and UX Magazine. Robb Wilson is the founder and CEO of OneReach.ai, co-author of the WSJ bestselling book Age of Invisible Machines (Wiley), and contributor to Harvard Business Review. Anthony Franco founded EffectiveUI in 2005 (acquired by WPP), founded eight companies and exited six, has more than 100 design and innovation awards and 17 patents, and co-founded the AI First Principles initiative. Together they have designed and deployed AI systems for over half the Fortune 100 and federal government agencies. The methodology is recognized by Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Aragon, and Everest Group.
